Privacy policy
This policy explains how the You’re Suspects pilot handles personal information. The service is not directed to children under 13, does not accept payment, and does not run advertising or behavioral-analytics cookies during the pilot.
Information we collect
We collect the host email; occasion, tone, player first names or nicknames, and optional harmless traits; game status, readiness, votes, and private role tokens; support messages; and basic technical and security logs provided by our hosting infrastructure. Contact requests include the email, category, and message submitted.
Why we use it
We process this information to provide the requested game, authenticate private links, prevent abuse, troubleshoot, answer requests, and improve reliability. Where applicable, these purposes rely on performance of the service, legitimate interests in operating and securing it, consent where requested, and compliance with law. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who receives it
Hosting and database service providers process information for us under their service terms. A player who receives a private invitation can view that player’s role; a host can view game administration information. We may disclose information if legally required or needed to protect users and the service. Private links act like passwords—share each only with its intended recipient.
Retention and security
We keep pilot game and support data only while reasonably needed to operate, test, secure, and support the service, then delete or de-identify it. Contact and legal records may be retained as necessary to answer the request and meet legal obligations. We use access controls, unguessable tokens, validation, and managed infrastructure, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it and complain to your local data-protection authority. We will verify requests before acting. Submit a privacy request. California residents may also ask about categories collected and disclosures; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are commonly defined by California privacy law.
Children and group information
Hosts must be 18 or older. Do not create a profile for anyone under 13. Players aged 13–17 should participate only with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. Hosts must have permission to submit other people’s details and should use nicknames rather than full names.
International processing and changes
Service providers may process information in countries other than yours, with safeguards required by applicable law. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date; we will request fresh agreement where law requires it.
